¿Qué efecto tuvo Mounjaro® (tirzepatida) sobre los lípidos en adultos con diabetes tipo 2?
La concentración de lípidos en ayunas mejoró con respecto al momento inicial en los grupos de tratamiento con tirzepatida en todo el programa SURPASS.
Cambios en las concentraciones de lípidos en los estudios SURPASS
El programa de ensayos clínicos SURPASS evaluó la eficacia y seguridad de tirzepatida omo tratamiento para mejorar el control glucémico en personas con diabetes tipo 2 (DT2). Los ensayos de registro global incluyen 5 ensayos clínicos, que compararon tirzepatida con placebo, semaglutida, insulina degludec e insulina glargina.1-5Además, el ensayo clínico SURPASS-6 comparó tirzepatida con la insulina lispro en pacientes con DT2 que recibían insulina glargina concomitante con o sin metformina.6
Los cambios en el colesterol de lipoproteínas de baja densidad (LDL-C), el colesterol de lipoproteínas de alta densidad (HDL-C), el colesterol de lipoproteínas de muy baja densidad (VLDL-C), los triglicéridos y el colesterol total se evaluaron en los estudios SURPASS-1 al -6 ().1-7
